For our one-off collections we collect from each area one day a week. This keeps mileage and emissions as low as possible for us all. Just use the handy postcode checker on our website & we’ll confirm it right there and then for you.
For our Regular Service we will mirror your existing rubbish bin collection day, but we will empty it on the weeks the council don’t. For example, if your general waste rubbish bin is emptied on a Tuesday then we will also empty your bin on a Tuesday but on the weeks the council don’t. This will be confirmed for you by email once you have booked.

Collections are made between 7am and 6pm. Collection times can vary so please always have the bin out ready for 7am on your scheduled collection day and please allow us up to 6pm to make the collection. We won’t be able to provide you with an exact collection time but with payment made in advance we just need the waste to be left outside the property for it to be emptied.

We don’t currently empty bins on weekends. We spend Saturday’s cleaning and maintaining all the vehicles. If we look after the vehicles, our vehicles will take care of you and provide that dependable service that you are looking for.

Please leave your bin out in the same way that you usually do for the council. Please make it easily accessible for collection and not causing any obstructions. As payment is made in advance you do not need to be at home for the collection to be carried out. Please have the bin out ready for 7am on your scheduled collection day.

We want to empty your bin so please contact the office on 0161 766 3330 and we will look to reschedule the collection as soon as possible.

If you’re a regular customer please just double check that it’s not the council who should be collecting that week and that your payment is up to date.
We’re not perfect but we do care about providing a dependable service so if we have made an error we will call back as soon as we can to rectify it. This is usually the next working day after notification of the error.

We can empty any coloured bins with whatever is in them. We will empty recycling bins if required.
We try not to be strict but please note that we cannot collect construction waste (bricks, rubble, plaster, plasterboard, ceramic, sand or soil etc).
We will also not collect hazardous material (asbestos, sharps, chemical waste & medical waste). Nappies are fine.
We will not collect bins with paint, solvents, oil or large quantities of liquid & please also ensure that no hot or combustible material is placed in the bin which may cause a fire.

Generally anything other than the following.
We cannot collect bricks, rubble, plaster, plasterboard, ceramic, sand, stone, gravel, asbestos, sharps, chemical waste, medical waste (nappies are fine), paint, solvents, corrosive acids, toxic material, large electrical items, oil, or large quantities of liquid & please also ensure that no hot or combustible material is placed in the bin which may cause a fire. (Ashes, Lithium Batteries, Coals etc).

Yes, we can if booked by prior arrangement online or over the phone. If not, only waste held within
the bin will be emptied.

Payment can be made 24/7 online at www.busybins.co.uk or over the phone on 0161 766 3330 (Monday – Friday 8.30am until 5pm). Payment is made by card. We accept Visa, Mastercard & American Express. We don’t take cash payments.

All our pricing is transparently displayed on the website for the different services that we offer. Just click on the Book Now button for each option online & you will see the pricing displayed there before there is any requirement to pay or check out.

Once you have made payment, you are a Busy Bins customer. We will email you to let you know your first collection day which will be the same day that the council empty your rubbish bin but on the weeks the council don’t. We can’t empty your bin on the same day that you sign up as we have to prepare the route 24 hours before.

You’re not signed up to a long term contract. If you find it’s not working for you then you can always cancel 7 days before the next payment is due. Please notify us by phone (0161 766 3330) or email ([email protected]) if you wish to cancel. It always helps us as a business to know the reason for cancellation.

We are a fully licensed waste carrier with the Environment Agency (Registration Number CB/DU222271) We collect your waste in one of our specialised refuse collection vehicles, take it to a waste transfer station where it is processed before being transported to a Waste to Energy Facility. Treatment of waste by the waste to energy process is environmentally preferential to Landfill Disposal in the Waste Hierarchy set out by the DEFRA.

You can cancel an order with us outside of the statutory cancellation period. We will charge a £2.50 administration fee for the time and cost incurred by us for the booking. If you wish to re-arrange the collection date, then we can arrange that for you instead. The cancellation notice for One Off Bin Collections must be received no less than 24 hours prior to the date of the ordered service.

Yes you can but please call us on 0161 766 3330 (Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm) so we can make a manual note otherwise the system will book you in for the next available day that we are in the area as confirmed by our online postcode checker.

If we are at fault for damaging your bin, then we will replace it at our expense.

If you have signed up for one of our regular service options, then you don’t need to keep setting up payment. Payment is made on a recurring basis (like a direct debit) with payment taken on the same date as the date that you signed up each month. If the payment fails for any reason (insufficient funds or expired card details being the most common) we can’t empty your bin until we receive payment. We will notify you by email or phone if this happens. Payment is set up from your card details so if you change cards please contact us.

Your first payment is taken on the date you sign up. Pay on a recurring basis with payment taken on the same date that you signed up each month. If you wish to change this date then you can do so, please just email [email protected] with your email address, collection address and a note about the payment date you wish to change to. A small charge or small refund will be calculated on a pro rata basis depending on if you want to bring the payment date forward or move the payment date back.

We offer a money back guarantee for all our customers to demonstrate how committed we are to a regular and reliable service. We want 100% customer satisfaction.
If we fail to empty your bin on the scheduled day due to an error on our part then we will refund you the price of that collection or we can call back the next working day to empty the bin and rectify an error.
To claim the money back for the collection just simply contact us by phone or email and we arrange for a cheque to be sent out to you for the refund.
